Hidden in plain sight is one of Southamptons most fascinating landmarks. The red brick building just east of the railroad station was a hub of activity throughout Southamptons agricultural past. Farmers brought wagon-loads of potatoes and grains to be weighed, bagged, loaded into waiting boxcars lined up on the railroad spur behind the building and shipped to New York City. When he purchased the building, Stuart Andrews found the old scale, the grain elevator, and just about everything else intact and has devoted much of his time to bringing the building back from the past.
