This time honored medium is essential to any artist’s education. Class will cover the many types of techniques surrounding charcoal and pencil rendering. Still life subjects will be available and if possible, a portrait sitting. The art of the “Quick Sketch” will be explored as well as many other drawing exercises. Students will leave the class with a better understanding and appreciation for creating in black and white.
