Long Island’s Got Talent 2019 April 5, 2019 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm The Ward Melville Heritage Organization Educational and Cultural Center 97 Main Street Stony Brook, NY 1 1 7 9 0 631-751-2244 Come showcase your musical talent at The Ward Melville Heritage Organization’s Seventh Annual Long Island’s Got Talent preliminary event. This event is open to students 10-17 years old who reside in Nassau or Suffolk County. To be considered for the event you must submit a registration form along with a $25 entry fee, an audition tape and proof of age. Registration deadline: March 23. The Ward Melville Heritage Organization Presents: Long Island’s Got Talent 2019 Vocal and Musical Instruments Talent Show Official Contestant Rules: • Long Island students 10-17 years of age in Nassau or Suffolk County. Students must still be no more than 17 and in high school at the time the award is given in October 2019. • Entry categories: Non-professional solo vocal & musical instrument performances only. • Students are limited to one (1) three-minute performance. • Must supply own equipment. • Adhere to a school style dress code as this is a family show. • No drugs/alcohol. • Proof of age must be submitted along with DVD or YouTube link of the perspective contestant performing. • Entry fee - $25 (non-refundable) • WMHO reserves the right to reject any entry that we deem to be offensive to the general public. • Contestants advancing to the finals must perform (three minutes) at one of WMHO’s Summer Concerts (Sundays in July and August.) • Performances at the summer concerts should be songs that are familiar with the general public. • Performances at the finale may be original songs. No songs may repeat. Performance Procedure: • Submit an audition DVD no longer than two (2) minutes recording your talent (DVDs can not be returned.) You can also provide a link to a YouTube video of your performance if you prefer. • If you are selected to participate in the preliminary round you will perform at the Educational and Cultural Center in Stony Brook Village Center on Friday, April 5th at 6:30 pm. A distinguished panel of judges will choose seven finalists. • Each of the seven finalists will perform at WMHO’s Summer Concerts on one Sunday evening in July or August 2019. • The seven remaining finalists will compete at the final event in October 2019.
