Create crazy hybrid creatures in this artist-led exhibition that changes every day … because of you!
Join artist Scott Larrabee in a summer of creative collaboration. Visitors are confronted with the “bones” of fantastical animals in this exhibit and challenged to help us finish these fantastical beasts. Over the course of eight weeks, animals are fleshed out by visitors’ imagination and design ingenuity. Families are encouraged to return throughout the summer to add new elements to the Museum’s mapcap menagerie and watch the changes they undergo on a daily basis.
What You’ll Do:
Define … and redefine the look and personality of these imaginary animalsApply feathers, scales and whiskers to complete fantastical crittersWalk through the mouth of a whion (whale+lion), slide down an ellaster (elephant + rooster) and manipulate the legs and eyes of an octamoose.
