Mid-Winter Break at the Long Island Maritime Museum

From: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Monday, February 18: Float Your Boat - This fun activity allows children to construct a boat from a cork in order to better understand the concept of buoyancy. A fun water test will follow!

Tuesday, February 19: Static Electricity - Join us as we learn about static electricity with exciting experiments using balloons! We'll have a take home experiment to share with the family too!

Wednesday, February 20: Snow Globes - Come join us as we use a variety of items to create an "under the sea" themed snow globe. What creatures will your child choose?

Thursday, February 21: Winter Wildlife Detective - Dress for the outdoors and spend time searching for the clues of wildlife. Binoculars, magnifying glasses, and sounds will alert us to who lives in our own backyards! Indoor craft activity too!

Friday, February 22: Let it Snow! - What child doesn't like snow? We will create puffy snow to paint our favorite snow man and a snow stick to measure the next snow storm!
