St. Patricks Day Festivities & Irish Soda Bread Competition March 3! Stony Brook, NY The Ward Melville Heritage Organization will host a fun filled event in celebration of St. Patricks Day on Sunday, March 3 from 1:30 to 4:30 pm at their Educational & Cultural Center in Stony Brook Village. Included in the festivities will an Irish Soda Bread Competition, which will be judged by the general public. The winner will come away with a $150 Stony Brook Village Center Gift Certificate! Official entry forms can be found in shops and restaurants as well as online at stonybrookvillage.com. There is an entry fee of $5 which includes 1 free admission to the event. Additional highlights will be the performances of The Bard and The Busker (pictured) Mike McCormack (the Bard), a noted journalist and broadcaster and the National Historian for the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and John Corr (the Busker), a member of the legendary Paddy Doyles Boots Band. Mulvihill-Lynch School of Irish Dance (pictured), regionally, nationally and internationally known champions, will also entertain.
