Dr. Brooke Bateman’s first summer job as a teenager was aboard the Ward Melville
Heritage Organization’s "Discovery" pontoon boat where she would see snowy egrets, night herons
and osprey in Stony Brook Harbor. Join us as she shares the life experiences that led her
to becoming a Senior Scientist at the National Audubon Society. In addition to exploring spring migration of birds
from the Artic to Long Island, Brooke will share the wonder, beauty and science of many species of birds, as well as
her invention, “Climate Watch”.
