Please join us on Monday, January 25, 2021, at 7 pm, for a virtual screening and discussion of the film “Jones Beach, An American Riviera” in conjunction with the East Meadow Public Library. The film, narrated by Eli Wallach, explores the creation of this New York landmark by American builder, Robert Moses. The film chronicles the park’s history through rare newsreels, photographs, period music, and in-depth interviews, including with author Nelson DeMille, historian Robert Caro, and lifeguard Reggie Jones. Includes photos from the golden age of Jones Beach. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Long Island Traditions’ director, Nancy Solomon, former Jones Beach park superintendent, Sue Guliani, and George Pozderec, writer & director of the film.
